About

Our Vision

To be a church that glorifies God by loving Him wholeheartedly, loving others as oneself, and making disciples for Christ both in words and in deed.

Our Mission

We seek to build a multicultural fellowship of believers where everyone who comes will experience the love of Jesus Christ, the grace of His Cross and the favor of  God the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Brief History

Abundant Grace Baptist Church was incorporated in Maryland on October 16, 2003. The church actually began corporate worship on August 25, 2004 at the Millford Mill Academy with only seven members, under the pioneer pastoring of Reverend John Olusegun Omotosho. Due to new construction at the Academy, the church moved to the founders’ house at 3709 Collier Road, Randallstown on June 25, 2006. Seven months later (i.e. June 28, 2007), the church moved to Windsor Mill Middle School at 8300 Windsor Mill Road, Baltimore, and on June 25, 2012, it moved to 6401 Dogwood Road, Woodlawn, MD 21207. Thanks and glory be to God, on December 7, 2014, the church moved to its current location at 10019 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133 where, for the first time, it is owning its place of worship!

The church adopted a dba (doing-business-as) name of ‘Christos Baptist Church’ since December, 2004, which was changed to Abundant Grace Baptist Church in August, 2014. The new name depicts our experience of God so far and our hope for a continued relationship with Him, moving forward.

To the glory of the Almighty God, the church has grown both in number and spiritually. Our growth in faith continues to reveal Jesus to us as the Christ, the Son of the Most High God, the Truth, the Way and the Life. Christ tells Peter that He would build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). That promise manifests upon Abundant Grace Baptist Church today as it continues to grow spiritually.

Weather permitting, as God has given us the grace, we have held Sunday school and worship services every Sunday, prayer meetings and Bible study every Wednesday, and night prayer vigils every first Friday of the month. We are financial members of the Baptist Convention of Maryland and Delaware. We have conducted member’s weddings, services of songs, and prayer breakfast programs. We have baptized many new church members who have personally declared Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We have an awesome choir that compliments and further blesses our worships. We have a soccer team, that serves as a tool of evangelism for Jesus Christ.

We are eternally grateful to Pastor John Omotosho helped in planting the church and the following servants of God who have brought us the Word at various times: Reverend Mitch Dowell, Pastor Matthew Odemo, Honorable Femi Fakeye, Evangelist (Dr.) Tayo Owoeye, Pastor John Grace, Pastor David Ariyibi, Rev. Anthony Bell, Rev. Andrew Kulp, Pastor Steve Magua, Pastor Muda Salami, Rev Ladd T. Oyewo, Dr. Samson Omotosho, Deacon Emmanuel Gbala, Deacon Cross Okereke, Deacon Godwin Okereke, and Mrs. Ruth Jumoke Odediran.

In April, 2010, Reverend Bamidele Oduola of Providence Baptist Church, Lagos, helped to ordain our first set of five deacons in person of Deacon Emmanuel Gbala, Deacon Cross Okereke, Deacon Sunday Odediran, Deaconess Omolade Falua and Deaconess Titilayo Omotosho. Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war! The race of our faith continues even from where we are now in Randallstown. We are resolved to reach souls for Christ. We are determined to grow also in our own individual faith in the Lord. Our strategic vision in the next three years includes: expanding church programs for evangelism and community outreach; modernizing our sanctuary to enrich worship; maintaining a regular instrumentalist to support our choir and church music; employing a shepherd who is committed to the Word of God as emphasized in the “Baptist Faith and Message”; and planting a second Abundant Grace Baptist Church in another location. May God help us and empower us as we move His Kingdom forward in Jesus’ mighty Name.
